This course is designed as a "first course" in the principles of geomeasurement including leveling for earthwork, linear and area measurements (traversing), mapping, and GPS/GIS. Basic surveying measurements and construction foe engineering project control, mapping, and construction layout. Leveling, earthwork, area, and topographic measurement using levels, total stations, and GPS. Application of mapping via GIS. Integrated approach to the measurement, analysis, management, storage, and presentation of the descriptions and locations of spatial data.
