Launch of the EQUATE and Honeywell Practical Training Program in Automation and Industrial Cybersecurity, in collaboration with the Engineering Training and Alumni Center at Kuwait University’s College of Engineering and Petroleum and EQUATE. As part of efforts to strengthen cross-sector partnerships, the “EQUATE and Honeywell Practical Training Program in Automation and Industrial Cybersecurity” has been launched. Conducted in collaboration with the Engineering Training and Alumni Center at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, the three-month program is designed for Kuwaiti students specializing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
The program offers an opportunity to gain technical expertise in key areas that support modern petrochemical plant operations, including process automation, operational technology (OT), and industrial cybersecurity. The program’s launch was attended by Dr. Adel Hussain Malallah, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum; Dr. Abdul-Azeem Hussain Falah, Acting Assistant Dean for Planning, Consulting, and Training at the College; and Dr. Essam Hamoud Al-Raqba, Director of the Engineering Training and Alumni Center. The Engineering Training and Alumni Center at Kuwait University’s College of Engineering and Petroleum plays a vital role in connecting students and recent graduates with the labor market and enhancing their practical and field-based capabilities, thereby preparing them for future careers in the industrial sector.
